GDN convenes 150 researchers, technologists, policymakers and funders in Tokyo this December for the 2026 edition of the Global Development Conference (GDC 2026). Sponsors of GDC 2026 will be named on the concepts that leave the room and carry into 2027.

You are not sponsoring an event; you are the founding partner of a two-year global innovation pipeline, seeding 2–3 pilot projects and sponsoring a cohort of 10 Global South researchers.

"TOKYO PORTFOLIO" SEED FUNDER: USD 25,000-50,000

Directly funds the actionable pilots emerging from the Tokyo Co-Creation Labs, with the option to embed your own technical experts in the Labs that shape them.

ACCELERATING ACCESS: HIGH-VISIBILITY EVENT SPONSORSHIPS

LOCALISATION AND ACCESS PARTNER (TRAVEL GRANTS): USD 15,000

Covers travel, accommodation, visas and participation for a cohort of five Global South delegates. Scalable to USD 30,000 for a cohort of ten.

INNOVATOR SEAT: USD 5,000

Give a Global South researcher or practitioner a seat at the table by funding their full travel and participation, with your support recognised in the Tokyo Portfolio.

CULTURAL RECEPTION HOST: USD 15,000 – 20,000

Host either the 25th Anniversary Cultural Reception (Day 1, featuring a traditional Kagami-biraki ceremony) or the Global Policy Reception at Europa House (Day 2). One host per reception.

CO-CREATION LAB "POD" SPONSOR: USD 10,000

Shape the next generation of scalable development solutions: fund one thematic Lab, frame its challenge, and embed two of your own specialists at the table.

Co-brands the Tokyo Portfolio Report and its dissemination: the flagship publication capturing the innovations, partnership models, and pathways to scale emerging from GDC 2026.
